The man himself
This is a statue of Machiavelli found outside the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. It is a part of the Great Florentines series of sculptures where our man is indeed in illustrious company: Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello, Brunelleschi, the poet Dante Alighieri and the explorer and cartographer, Amerigo Vespucci. Now why does that relatively unknown Florentine's name sound familiar?
